Angela focuses her practice in the areas of Florida administrative law and regulatory compliance, government contracts/procurement, complex commercial litigation, and labor and employment.

In her administrative practice, Angela represents corporate, non-profit, and government clients at the administrative hearing level and on appeal. She practices all areas of Florida administrative law and appellate advocacy, including regulatory compliance, licensure, administrative complaints and disciplinary proceedings, government contracts, rulemaking, and rule challenges. She routinely assists clients in navigating complex regulatory issues before various state agencies, including the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), the Florida Department of Health (FDOH), the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, and the Florida Department of Financial Services (DFS). Additionally, given her experience, Angela has been retained to represent Florida state agencies in defense of rule challenges and agency decisions in licensure matters.

Angela’s experience in complex commercial litigation includes a variety of commercial disputes in both state and federal court, including contract law, business torts, and trade secret litigation. This experience includes representation at both the trial level and on appeal. A former law clerk at the First District Court of Appeal, Angela has been involved in appeals on behalf of a number of corporate and government clients.

Angela also has extensive experience assisting clients in the resolution of issues that arise in all phases of the employment relationship, and she routinely advises on management on a variety of complex employment-related matters, including hiring, wage and hour, employee leave, I-9 compliance, discipline, severance, and termination concerns. Additionally, Angela routinely performs independent corporate investigations into alleged violations of law, with a particular emphasis on employment law and whistleblower concerns. She has conducted training sessions for management personnel and has been a frequent lecturer on employment law issues.

Angela graduated third in her class from the University of Florida College of Law, where she was a member of the University of Florida Law Review and received numerous book awards. She earned her undergraduate degree in political science, with high honors, from Florida State University in 2005. Before entering private practice, Angela served as a law clerk for the First District Court of Appeal in Tallahassee.
